The Sun Is Still There- Nina Bhusari

Seasons change, and feelings do too.

Just because it’s raining today

doesn't mean the sun isn’t there.

It means it’s waiting,

quietly,

behind the clouds.

If you’re reading this and everything hurts,

pause for a second.

Feel where you are.

Put your feet on the floor.

Take one breath.

Then take another.

You don’t have to fix your whole life tonight—

you just have to stay.

Don’t jump to ending your life

because this moment feels too heavy.

Pain convinces you that you’re alone,

that you don’t matter,

that nothing will change.

But if you leave, the pain doesn’t disappear—

it multiplies.

It lives on in the people who love you,

even the ones you don’t realize are watching.

You matter more than your mind lets you believe.

You matter even when you feel invisible.

Eat something, even if it’s small.

Drink water.

Rest when you can.

Treat yourself with the same care

you would give someone you love.

You cannot give love away

until you learn how to give it to yourself—

and that takes time.

You are more than your mistakes.

More than the choices you replay at night.

More than the labels you’ve been given.

You are still growing,

still learning,

still allowed to change.

Step outside if you can.

Let the air touch your face.

Notice the light you’re given.

Feel the blessed sun,

even if it only lasts a moment.

Don’t take this breath for granted—

it is a gift.

You are lucky to be here.

You are worth staying for.

And one day,

when the rain finally breaks,

you’ll look back and understand

why choosing to stay

saved your life.

The Sun Is Still There.
